Everyone’s trying the Luxury Lifestyle look at the moment, however in most cases its what I would call a veneer.
Go to Finch’s Quarterly Review for something a bit more authentic.

Things have tailed off a bit towards the end of this year for various reasons, I guess its better to be too busy to blog then the other way round…
The new year is looking promising, despite all the economic nonsense which no one can make their mind up about.
Onwards to the next decade…

Glamour’s Golden Age
Hermione Norris narrates a three-part series on the 1920s and 30s, which creates a portrait of
a golden age so daring, so influential, so exciting that it still shapes who we are today.
The decades between the world wars saw a cultural revolution in music, fashion, design and
the arts. Mass media, mass production and the resulting mass exposure to an alluring,
seductive glamour saw the world changing at a dizzying pace, amid which many of our
modern obsessions were born.

Fantastic Mr Fox comes out soon (end of the month), this was one of my most favourite books when I was young and I especially liked the illustrations by Quentin Blake mingled with the words of Roald Dahl, they are a great combo and not quite the sam without one another. Anyway to the film, on paper I like everything about it, Wes Anderson is one of my favourite directors (A Life Aquatic, Dajeeling Limited), his use of bizarre scenes and ordinary life make for a topsy turvy viewing experience. The crew who act in his films (Billy Murray, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman) always make films realistic, awkward, funny and generally great.
However, I just watched the trailer and realised they all have American accents, which kind of shocked me- its pretty obvious really as they are mainly all American’s doing the voice overs. I guess Fantastic Mr Fox always seemed very English to me. I am keen to see the film as I like everything about it, I guess I will have to keep an open mind and try not to think of the story I remember so well. It could be great, lets just hope so…

Posted by Her Best Boy on 09/30 at 10:09 PMWe were invited to the launch of the Holland and Holland Overfinch Range Rover which was
being launch and H&H’s shooting grounds in Northwood on 22nd September.
The event started with an hour of shooting, followed by afternoon tea served by Claridges in
the Dining Room (delicious sandwiches, followed by tasty scones and amazing mini cakes).
Then followed the main event, the unveiling of what is deemed as the most luxurious Range
Rover ever. A combination of the unmistakable Holland and Holland style and craftsmanship
with the engineering and design experience of Overfinich, it was bound to be quite something.
As you can see below, this Range Rover is out of this world, glass holding cabinets and a
champagne cooler housed in the centre console of the back seats plus a cabinet to hold all
your shooting and hunting equipment in the boot. Engraved details around the dash plus
Turkish Walnet similar to that used on the guns themselves make the inside something else.
On the performance side, the Range Rover is up there with Bentley’s using the 503bhp
Supercharged or TDV8 Range Rover.
Only 100 will be made, and only about 50 will be available in the UK and you can guarantee
that they won’t be available for long.
Neil Bedford x Nike x Jeff Awah, what could possibly go wrong! Available from Nike 1948 in Shoreditch.
One of the videos from the day, not a bad one at that!
